NEC Australia and Commtech Wireless partner for healthcare growth
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA March 8, 2011 NEC Australia today welcomed Commtech Wireless, a division of Amcom Software, as an official member of the NEC Australia UNIVERGE Application Partner Program.
NEC has certified Commtech Wireless's Fusion mobile event notification solution, which features enhanced support for the latest range of NEC phone systems, including seamless integration of the NEC IP-DECT platform. Within an Acute care environment, the Fusion product provides simple and reliable connectivity between clinical alarm systems such as nurse call, patient monitoring, duress and even security and fire panels with NEC wireless devices being carried by mobile staff. The prime result is reduced response times during critical alarm situations that can drastically affect the health and safety of both hospital patients and staff. The benefits of the combined Commtech Wireless Messaging platform with NEC are not limited to just the acute care environment, but are also just as compelling within the hospitality, aged care and industrial markets among others.
Fusion integrates with and enhances the current capabilities of wireless voice solutions such as the NEC IP-DECT telephone system. This new integration is in addition to a host of existing options such as sending messages to a variety of wireless devices, smartphones, SMS, mobile phones, and pagers.
"We are delighted to be able to offer Commtech Wireless's Fusion to our healthcare customers to deliver advanced event notification and communications that are faster, more accurate, and more efficient," said Anthony Carilla, Assistant General Manager Channels and Strategy NEC Australia.
"We are very excited to be in a position to deliver such positive, measurable outcomes for so many joint customers who have selected Commtech Wireless and NEC solutions, across so many markets globally. With any such developments, it is critical for Commtech Wireless to work closely in partnership with respected alliance partners such as NEC; especially in regards to ensuring that all integrations are fully documented, tested and certified by all involved parties" said John Jordan, General Manager – Asia Pacific, Commtech Wireless, a division of Amcom Software. "Fusion continues to provide measurable business outcomes, increased efficiencies and cost savings for organisations seeking to improve the flow of their communication to mobile staff."
Fusion version 2.6 has expanded support for NEC IP-DECT and NEC Wi-Fi (OAI, NEAX) phone systems and can significantly increase the ROI (Return on Investment) for new and existing NEC customers relying on NEC for their wireless voice communications.
