U.S. News & World Report published the annual findings in the highly anticipated 2009-2010 America's Best Hospitals report.
To create this year's list, the publication evaluated 4,861 hospitals across 16 specialties, considering such factors as reputation, mortality index, patient safety, and general care-related factors such as nurse staffing and technology. The 21 Honor Roll hospitals represent those in which quality of care is exceptional within many specialty areas.
