Eddie Bauer Protects Staff with Amcom Software's Enhanced 911 Solution

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – August 4, 2011 – Amcom Software, Inc. today announced that Eddie Bauer is protecting its employees with the help of Amcom's enhanced 911 communications system. When someone dials 911 from the retailer's offices in Bellevue, Wash., or Chicago, the Amcom solution provides both the Eddie Bauer security department and the local 911 call center with the caller's exact location, including the building, floor, and room number.

The Amcom E911 solution integrates with Eddie Bauer's phone system and covers more than 700 phones. Without the E911 system in place, first responders would know only the billing address of the organization and not a specific location within a multistory building. Such rough estimates could slow response to emergencies. But given Eddie Bauer's commitment to a safe working environment, its leaders were determined to make sure local police, fire, and paramedics received detailed information that would allow them to come quickly to the assistance of its employees.
