Amcom Software on Track for Record Revenue
- On track for record revenue with forecasted year-on-year growth of 40 percent
- Recent acquisitions have been successfully integrated, allowing customers to benefit from enriched product solutions and features
- Regional user conferences have been highly successful, enabling customers to learn how the latest Amcom plans and products can positively impact their operations
MINNEAPOLIS, MN August 27, 2009 Amcom Software, Inc., today announced that the company is on track for record revenue despite the challenging economy. In particular, Amcom's July new orders were an all-time company high. Healthcare organizations led the way with 53 new selections, followed by a strong number of deals in higher education, government, Fortune 1000, and hospitality.
The surge in new orders has been driven largely by product innovation across the broad Amcom suite, which spans call center communications, mass notification and incident communications, integrated alarm management, and paging infrastructure. Solutions from the recent acquisitions of SDC Solutions and Commtech Wireless have led to features and functionality that now extend and integrate seamlessly with other Amcom offerings. This gives customers new ways to cost-effectively build on their existing Amcom communication solutions while minimizing IT requirements. For example, customers using Amcom call center operator consoles can now send SMS (text) messages to their staff on the wireless device of their choice, eliminating the need for staff to carry multiple devices.
Amcom has also completed six product releases this year. These releases include the updated versions of the Fusion Series of integrated alarm management solutions, as well as more robust functionality for operator consoles (including physician's consult), Web-based directories, and the e.Notify emergency and incident communications application.
All of this product activity has generated increased interest from customers. Amcom has held three regional user conferences in 2009 with an additional three planned. Record numbers of customers have flocked to these one-day events to learn more about Amcom's plans for the future, new product offerings, and to network with fellow users.
"Although the overall economy has resulted in difficult times for many businesses, the ability of our solutions to strengthen mission-critical communications, enhance safety, and ultimately save lives drives our customers forward in their projects," said Chris Heim, CEO, Amcom Software. "We're extremely pleased to be helping many leading organizations understand and leverage the latest technologies to provide efficient, meaningful communications."
