Chris Heim, Chief Executive Officer
Under Heim's leadership, Amcom has grown aggressively and quadrupled in size. Over the past two decades, Heim has built a reputation as an exceptional leader in enterprise software and IT. Prior to taking over the reins at Amcom, Heim held the role of CEO and President of HighJump Software. Under his leadership, HighJump Software grew from $8 million to $80 million in sales and quickly became a leader within its market space. Other career highlights include earning Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2003. Heim has BA and MBA degrees from the University of St. Thomas.
Dan Mayleben, Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Mayleben is focused on growing the company through mergers, acquisitions and revenue growth. Prior to Amcom, Dan was CFO of RenewData, a CIBC portfolio company. From 2003 - 2006, Mayleben held the position of CFO for HighJump Software where he led the implementation of a new business model and grew the company at an annual rate of 25 percent. Prior to HighJump, Mayleben served as CFO of Adaytum, another CIBC portfolio company through the Accenture portfolio acquisition. Mayleben also held various finance roles at Honeywell including CFO of a $1.8 billion business unit and undertaking several acquisitions.
lou kurpis, general manager of xtend, a division of amcom software
Kurpis is General Manager of Xtend, a Division of Amcom Software, located in New York City. Kurpis was Chief Financial Officer of Xtend Communications for four years prior to its merger with Amcom Software in 2007 and oversaw much of Xtend's growth into new markets. Before Xtend, he served as CFO of Dial A Mattress / 1 800 Mattress for nine years. Kurpis is a CPA with extensive systems and operational experience in distribution and manufacturing. He is a graduate of Long Island University with a BS in Accounting, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the New York State Society of CPAs, and a veteran of the United States military.
Marianne Gray, Executive Vice President / General Manager, SDC Division of Amcom Software
Gray has 24 years of finance and management experience gained through financial advisory positions in the biotechnology, aviation technology, CTI, and speech technology fields. She joined Amcom in 2009 via the acquisition of SDC Solutions. As the leader of SDC's management team, Gray drives the division's direction and guides daily operations across sales, support, development, production, and installation. She is committed to improving processes and developing partner relationships, and always has an eye toward meeting customers' communications needs through new, innovative solutions. Gray holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Burdette College in Boston.
Nathan Buzza, Executive Vice President / General Manager of Commtech Wireless, a division of Amcom Software
Buzza is responsible for strategic planning, overall technology development, and management of the division. Prior to the sale of Commtech Wireless to Amcom Software in 2008, Buzza and Zane Lewis led Commtech Wireless for 15 years. During that time, Buzza oversaw the growth of the company from a small business into a multinational corporation with offices in Perth and Sydney, Australia and Jacksonville, Florida. Under his leadership, Commtech Wireless enjoyed an average revenue growth of 57%. Buzza was educated at Kings College in New Zealand and Scotch College in Perth, Western Australia, and studied a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University. Prior to founding Commtech Wireless, he played key roles at Australia’s largest nurse call manufacturer, Austco. Some of Buzza ’s achievements include winning Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year,” “First Among Equals,” and the Western Australia IT&T “Lifetime Achievement” awards.
Zane Lewis, Managing Director of Commtech Wireless, a division of Amcom Software
Lewis is responsible for overall strategic direction and business development of the division. Prior to the sale of Commtech Wireless to Amcom Software in 2008, Lewis and partner Nathan Buzza led Commtech Wireless for 15 years. One of Lewis’ principal achievements was leading the introduction of Commtech Wireless into the North American market. He established operations in Florida in 2001, and by 2008 saw North American revenue account for 65% of overall revenue. Before Commtech Wireless, Lewis was Sales Manager for Mirage Tech in Australia. Educated at Scotch College in Perth, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Western Australia.
Greg Stinson, Senior Vice President of Development
Stinson leads the product development efforts for Amcom and is responsible for new product strategy and technology alliances. As a 20-year Amcom veteran, Stinson has led teams of highly skilled programmers responsible for building new products, upgrades and enhancements while performing the research and development necessary to introduce the next generation of Amcom software. Stinson is nationally recognized as an expert in CTI software development and database integration and has presented at national conferences such as the Society of Telecommunications Consultants and the National Managed Health Care Conference. Prior to joining Amcom, Stinson worked as a developer in the quality assurance department of Sperry Univac in Roseville, Minnesota. He has a background in computer science and also in fine arts. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in music and computer science from Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota, where he also served as the chair of the Music Department. He also earned a Master of Science in music from Bemidji State University.
Kathy Veldboom, Vice President of Quality and Support
Veldboom has 18 years of experience with Amcom Software and plays a key role in professional services and technical support services. Veldboom provides consulting services and training to customers regarding communication center efficiencies and emergency communications. Her clients include major healthcare institutions, government agencies, military installations, universities and Fortune 1000 companies. Veldboom holds a degree in marketing from the University of Colorado, where she also taught a required undergraduate business course. Prior to joining Amcom, she worked in Control Data's International Telecommunications Center and for Centèl Communications as an Account Manager. Veldboom routinely presents at conferences including HIMSS, ACUTA, INNUA, Emergency Management & Homeland Protection, and Continuity Insights.
Katherine Bolseth, Vice President of Product Strategy
Bolseth oversees Amcom’s global product strategy to ensure offerings meet ever-changing customer and market requirements. Prior to joining Amcom in December 2008, she served as Executive Vice President, Engineering and Product Development at Wireless Ronin. In this role, Bolseth championed the company’s product and technology vision, substantially improved product throughput by introducing Agile development methods, and led the network operations center’s expansion to ensure 24/7 hosting uptime and customer support. From 1996 through 2008, Bolseth held several management positions at HighJump Software. As Vice President of Global Development, she managed the distributed development organization across six international offices. She also oversaw the expansion of the company’s product offerings from automated data collection and warehouse management applications to a comprehensive suite of industry-leading supply chain execution applications. Prior to joining HighJump, Bolseth was an independent contractor focused on developing database applications. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in quantitative methods and computer science from the University of St. Thomas.
Randy Hoffman, Vice President of Professional Services
Hoffman joined Amcom in 2007 as VP of Professional Services to lead the company's growing professional services team. Under Hoffman's leadership, the team has improved its customer service initiatives while expanding to support evolving client needs. Prior to Amcom, Hoffman was the Senior Director of Professional Services for HighJump Software. While in this role, he was responsible for yearly professional service revenue of approximately $32 million. Before becoming a Senior Director, Hoffman was a Project Leader at HighJump where he successfully led over 100 implementations across a wide variety of industries. Hoffman also led a joint development effort with PeopleSoft that yielded a highly successful product for HighJump. Hoffman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Jamestown College.
Sean Collins, Vice President of Sales
Collins has years of experience in sales management and is responsible for leading all sales activities, revenue planning and strategic growth for Amcom. Under Collins' direction, the company has doubled in size and sales revenue, established an alliance program and a national sales presence. Prior to joining Amcom, Collins worked in channel sales for the telephone division of Fujitsu Communications for two years and spent the prior six years with a start-up, VideoLabs, where he started as a Product Manager and was promoted to Sales Manager. During his years with VideoLabs, he contributed to growth of the organization through overseeing acquisitions and starting a European office. Sean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Colorado State University.
mike mehr, vice president of finance
Mehr oversees financial operations, planning and analysis for Amcom Software. Prior to Amcom, Mehr held the role of VP of finance for International Decision Systems. Mehr has decades of experience in software organizations including tenures with Adaytum, Inc., now owned by Cognos, the global leader in enterprise performance planning. He also previously worked at Fourth Shift Corporation, now Soft Brands. He began his career at Arthur Andersen.
mike devine, Vice President of Marketing
Devine is responsible for marketing and integrating acquisitions to further the company's impressive growth. Devine has 20 years of corporate communications experience in the software and electricity industries. Devine joined Amcom in 2007 after eight years at HighJump Software, where he helped build the brand and gain global market share via leadership positions in marketing and public relations. During this time, Devine was also involved in integrating three acquisitions that contributed to HighJump's growth. Prior to HighJump, he worked in Rome, Italy in communications roles for the country's principle electricity provider Enel, software provider Datamat, and the city of Rome. Devine has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas.
